Emergency Housing and Accommidation Program
Through this program, the organization responds to the urgent housing needs of Sexual minority individuals who have become victims of social stigma and discrimination from their families and the general public. Under this program, the organization brings together homeless LGBT persons under one shelter, provides them with beddings and other basic needs of life so as they can have a sense for togetherness and solidarity in advocating for descent housing and harmonious living with other members of the bigger community. The program was developed as a result of the gross human rights violations against LGBTI in Uganda that are being perpetrated by state actors, religious institutions, cultural leaders and other authorities which lead to school expulsions, family rejection, sacked from work places (loss of jobs), evictions by landlords and eviction letters from local council authorities at both village and parish levels.
